Few Questions!!

Ok guys been looking aorund a bit just wondering whats the diffrence between the BA XT falcon and the BA xr6..... one think is sports for XR6 but engine wise!

ive been looking at XT and Xr6 BA's in the pass 5 days and notice the price will be around $14 gran to $21 gran for second hand......
i wasnt planning on buying a xr8 or xr6T probally due to im still on my P's and only 18 and insurance will be too much $$$$$$$$$$...

Im planning to spend up to $20 grand for eithier a BA/BF or nice AU......

from what the guys at ford have told me when querying using an xr6 ecu in an xt, the xr6 has the same engine, and ecu as the xt. the difference is in the cluster, seats, bodykit, mags, bumper, lights, front grill. i think they also sit approx 15mm lower, have a slightly better exhaust, and have four way power windows as opposed to a standard xt's front only power windows. there might be a few more differences, but nothing to flash i know about.

Series 1 BA XR6 has FRONT WINDOWS ONLY. Series 2 BA XR6 and also BF XR6 has 4-way windows.

As the previous poster said, the main difference between XT and XR6 is cosmetic stuff. You get the nicer sports seats, sports cluster, blue ICC lighting (instead of the boring green), much nicer mags/body kit, headlights, grill package, sideskirts and spoiler.

Also, the XR6 comes with cruise control STANDARD, whereas on the XT, it was an option.

Engine-wise is pretty much the same. The exhaust is slightly better, and the XR6 has sports suspension. You do notice the difference immediately if you drive an XT and then drive an XR6.

if you want more speed get an XT flash tune it, exhaust it and gear it.
good sleeper still look good and dont have the bodykit s**t slowing it down.

BA xt;s weigh very slightly less than the xr6 due to less bodykit accesories. IMO, I dont think xr6's are worth the price for what you get, they should have done something performance wise for it like tickford would have.
