What TURBO_GHIA said, except (in the 200kW case) do a compression test and have the ECU scanned for any error codes that indicate faulty sensors. Any problems will be greatly magnified by boost.

Also start thinking about rebuilding/upgrading your tranny. You won't need to do this straight up, but the odds are you will need to do it eventually. It'll be less painful if you've already decided who will do the job and what they'll do to it.

Spend the $$ on good ecu and tune.. Things like injectors and fuel delivery to keep up with power levels.. The 255 Walbro pump is the cheapest, reliable and 42Lb injectors.. Will get you 250 rwkw but more so the torque around 900 FtLb...Compare that to other motors.....Forget about T5's...

so i take it that a T5 wont take the pressure then??? any suggestions?

if i go for an aftermarket ECU, bigger fuel pump, and injectors befor i get a charger put on will that have any negative effects on my car now??

was thinking of doing some engine mods any way (port and polish, reseating valves bla bla bla) and i have heard that if i shave a little bit off the head or use a smaller gasket with forced induction it can cause pinging... is this true

so i went down to my local performance guys and they were a little unclear on wat kind of trans upgrade i could do.

any reconmendations or suggestions about getting the old trans strong enough to handle a flogging??

have to get the extention housing and the bush for the tail shaft fixed next week so while its out i was thinging of getting some tranny work done. maybe a new clutch and might get my flywheel machined while im there.

again any suggestions

A T5z or T56 perhaps. Mal Wood in Brisbane would be best place to start for info. Some of the Supra boxes may suit as well.
