So here is the biggest clue - most times when an aftermarket extractor system is fitted the oxygen sensors seem to spit the dummy - whether due to rough handling or just being disturbed. At around $70 each trade price I would have a look at changing these first. As I said in your other post - pull the plug on the MAF sensor and see if it is still replicating the problems. If it is still running badly you have another fault and if it only reared it's head after the extractors it is most likely to be the EGO sensors. Shane

i runs worse with the MAF sensor unplugged. therefore there must be something going on with the MAF right?

I'd say no. It's a bit like finding the plug thats not firing right. Pull the leads one at a time until you find one that doesn't change anything. This is the d**k one. If you unplug the MAF and the engine runs worse, then it must be sending a good signal to the ECU. When you unplug it, the ECU doesn't know one of its crucial inputs so has to try and adapt. It will never do that well.

Sounds to me like there isnt anything wrong with your MAF, and it is your O2 sensors. My MAF was dead when i brought the 5.0 and the only thing it did was surge under full throttle. It had been like this for a long time and the stock ECU managed but my economy was shot. If you disconnect your MAF and punch it and it stumbles then surges, then your MAF is fine
