So here's the go,

I'm changing my EF Fairmont Ghia sound system, and I currently have the premium sound system with the central controler and 6 cd stacker.

My question is, what wire controls the automatic aerial?

Also, how do I go about hooking the 6cd stacker to my new head unit? (Sony xPlod).

on the instructions it says I need a source selector?

The auto aerial is controlled by the high series Body Control Module..The switch on the dash only tells the module whether you want the aerial raised to half or full height..Refer to the Tech Docs section on the BCM's for wiring/pinouts..If you are upgrading..is your premo cd head unit working ok..ie backlighting etc..I need to replace just that component..will you seperate and what price? PM me Barry

Stacker should run a wire to the back of the headunit, no?

Unlikely that your Sony X-pos headunit is going to run an alpine CD changer....... (Still Alpine aren't they in the EF/EL's)........

You might have to just run the headunit or buy a Sony changer.....

Or better yet..... get yourself into this century and get an I-pod ready head unit and run your i-pod in the car!!!

My head unit IS iPod compatible, and I AM running my iPod in the car.

I was just curious to see if it would work.

You won't be able to hook up the Alpine stacker to the Sony head unit....
