1/ both wheels spin in same direction when pinnion spun
2/where the inner disc meets the axle/diff housing is 70cm in diameter,drew a line across disc onto housing ,drew a line frm pinion across diff housing
spun pinion ratio of pinion turns till lines exactly met up again= 3 on pinion and 1 on disc ( 3:1)
3/ by my rusty calculations if the diff were 3:08 it would fall 14cm short of line on disc after 3 spins of the pinnion 3:09 would be 7cm short and so on

slow off start .last time i checked i got over 700km from a tank of e10 highway driving ie i drove from newcastle to grafton around grafton for 2 days and from grafton to kempsy all up bout 8hrs of constant driving

its not 3:08, its 3.08:1

meaning 3.08 turns of the pinion equals 1 turn of the axle...

i knew i was missin somthing brain cells prolly
