What brand is it? Im pretty sure they all wire up the same. Log onto autometer.com and go to the technical info tab. Youll see a list of all their products. Click on one of the tachos and follow the instructions.

If I had an EA-D GL/GLi and really wanted a tacho I'd probably go to the trouble of sourcing and wiring up a mid-series S pack/Fairmont/XR Dash. Not only would it have a tacho, but oil and voltage as well but most importantly of all it wouldn't look as though it belonged on some Wogs Bogondore or Prancer :P

Ok thanks for all the help fellas. But one more question, does it alter were i hook the green wire to if i have a Centre Point Injected EB? or will the wiring still be in the same place.

Yeh ive tried to get my hands on a fairmont dash but i live in a remote town and thats not always possible.

cheers

i installed a tacho into my Ea a week ago.

it doesn't matter whether u have a center point EB or multipoint ED. the green wire needs to be connected to a pink wire near the brake booster, i should be sitting near top of the engine bay.

look around on some of the ford forums like fordforum.com or fordforums.com.au if u need further help on locating the pink wire.

cheers
