do u have cruise - is it working - if not check ur fuses

if no blown fuses check brake switch on brake pedal

i pretty sure brake lights and cruise share the same fuse

brake lights coming on with the main lighting could be just the parkers or a bad earth

Have you checked the fuses? I found my brake lights didn't work after the cruise control stopped working on my EA. The cause was a blown fuse.

Wonder what the truck drivers tailgating me said when I braked a few times for slow cars?

Brake switch, common on EL's.
