get some map lights out of an AU fairmont, and or get some bright LEDs and holders and place them around the car

I think huggiebear installed some downlights in his fairlane. But it was in the boot and it looked sexy because the light turned on slowly...like a dimmer.

it was actually in my old EA, i hooked it up to the boot light button... you can buy smaller versions of downlights from jaycar and other places. check out some caravan mobs as alot of those places use LED downlights. perfect for cars

yes jaycar have some good lights arounf the place. you might also want to search the interior mod section.. there is a few LED strips into interior lights that look to work really well

I believe you can get LED downlights. Alot less heat and power being used.

Yuo'll never be able to fit a proper downlight in the roof lining. Unless you want to holesaw a hole through the roof, and have a globe and 12v tail sitting 30mm above.

Go for an LED setup, but in strips rather than trying to buy one LED 'downlight' globe.

Joolz, you can buy LED downlight globes, have been able to for over a year or so. But they're still relatively expensive.

why not put LED strips in behind the hood lining covers? just drill small holes for the led's to sit in so when you open the door the outside of the roof lights up
