Has anyone been able to successfully repair an indent in the 'dried dogs nose' part of a BA Door Trim?

This picture is from a BA XR.

Try a hair dryer on warm only and use your finger pad (not your nail) to poke close around the area dented in - it worked on my F6 door trim which should be the same.
It will not go completely away but it gets the worse out so it is not so noticeable.
Do not hold the hair dryer too close or keep it on one spot - move it around in cirles at about 6-7 inches away or you will burn your door trim.

Having the trim in the warm sun also made some difference too.
