Hey guys
im trying my hardest to get everything ready to turbo my falcon this weekend and one of my problems is the turbo oil feed has like a 1mm hole that you can drill out to suit your car and i dont have any idea what size to use. im running Au Engine with standard oil pump Thx Jason

Hey,
If it's not a ball-bearing turbo, then i would leave it as is. The small diameter is there so you dont blow the seals out with the oil pressure, but i am no expert. Cheers Daz

you need to test the flow rate, look for about 1.7-2.3l/min off the top of my head -non ball bearing

so i fit the oil feed to the car and start her up and let the oil pressure fill the line then when it full put the flange into a coke bottle and time a min and see how much i get. Is this done a idle? I a summing idle but just want to check. The car should be good with 2.3L of oil missing it slightly over the high mark right now on the dip stick anyhow.

yeah thats it, maybe do some research and just check what info you can find regarding how many l/min u need... you could add an extra litre of oil before doing the test, it wont hurt anything, oh, and you will need to hold the rpm at about 2000, to get the oil pressure upto its maximum pressure, otherwise, you will exceed the max flow if you do it at idle then when your driving it will have higher pressure

Fit it up you don't actually blow the seals out.. The oil just goes through them.. Doesn't damage seals..
-3 oil feed would do the job.. If shaft type bearing don't bother... If its ball bearing YES fit what you have there... Though it looks bigger than 1mm ?? GCG sell restrictors that fit in braied oil line fitting.. Make sure the oil return is atleast 14mm and nearly vertical down to sump.. For atleast the first 150 mm or it could bilt back up and flood tubo.. The oil out of turbo can be very foamy, doesn't flow too well... I used s/steel flex pipe from Rocket As it flex's and heat resistant...
