May be a strange question I know, but in the dry, I feel every sharp bump, over train tracks I feel like my cars shod with concrete tyres. But over the same tracks when the suspension's wet, all noises are dampened and the suspension system is at least, 70% quieter. Rack rattle almost non existent?

Is this a sign that something in my system needs replacing, lubricating. Or is it the Kambrook tyres.

All shocks are new. Springs are 201,000k's old.

Could be the bushes being lubricated by the water.

I would be looking at getting all the bushes replaced.
WA Suspension centre will do all bushes front and rear for $500 I think.

Thanks Timmeh, btw, The Vines Resort has every model of the FG range X 3. There all over the place. I think Perths official launch is out of there today. Very interesting.

Just round the corner from me. I'll go have a look.

Road noise would probably be the tyres, anything you can feel is probably from being lub'ed up a bit.

When driving in the wet, don't forget that all noises you are used to hearing in the dry, are absorbed by the sounds you get whilst driving in the wet. ie. Water spray from tyres, windscreen wipers operating, wheel spin, losing it around corners etc. Quite normal i would say.

yeh, i get the same thing sometimes.

i think it is also due to the water lubricating other rattles like pipes and wires, etc.

Try some lube on the sway bar bushes, could be many things but that is a common noise that shows up after wet weather.

What bushes should be lubed, if I get under there with some today. In fact better tell me everything that should be lubed, may be easier just to tell us what shouldn't be touched? 8-)

Off topic but the FG drive day was out there today. I think most of the sales guys in Perth went to have a go in them today. I think I could live with that job, test driving brand new falcons at a nice resort like that.
