The stock cd/tape tuner in my AU is playing up and i'm wondering if I can replace it with a third party tuner. Will it just be a case of removing the factory fitted unit and sticking in a new (probably Kenwood) one? Does Ford use special connectors? I've been trying to get the cover off but so far haven't had any luck because i'm not entirely sure how the thing comes off.
Is it just held on by clips? Can I just use a screw driver to lever it off or will I break something if I do this? |

there is a thread on how to remove these
if it is a double din u need " special tool" which is basically 2 u shaped steel wires notched at the end single din i have no idea in regards to the wiring at the back you are able to get a adaptor to plug into the ford wiring harness that has all the wires labbeled ie left/right/rear speaker + and - makes it easy to install
