Guys.

Im about to do the Au Engine conversion.

Can someone tell me "for sure" if there is a good reason why I shouldnt try and use the AU Cam angle sensor rather than the EF one?

The AU one is there, and its much nicely mounted. All its doing is telling the ECU when the Cam is coming to a compression stroke, #1 cylinder.

They both seem to use the same type of trigger (Hall) - so they should give the same result no?

Real facts muchly appreciated here.

I can't tell you for sure but I would think it is different. The EF output is a 50% duty cycle signal where the AU I think would be a pulse at or near TDC on no.1 power stroke.

The EF is a 50% duty cycle?

.. Why then does it matter getting it in straight.

The has me curious - I was told that it wasnt important which way it went in. By some people who deal in that business - Im sceptical.
