hi all, was wondering what would makea good alarm for a ba xt sedan? is it possible to add one onto the stock central locking and use the factory remote? guy at strathfields told me that would be impossible in a ba, and that i would be looking at an expensive system, but i think he was just trying flog me overpriced gear...

He was definitely pulling your leg. BA's are easy to install alarms into.
I gave Tonkins a call and got quoted $395 for an alarm wired into the central locking system, so you just use the factory lock/unlock to arm/disarm it. It also came with motion sensors and shock sensors to beep at people who nudge the car while armed. I didn't do much shopping around but that sounded like a decent price for what you get. |

I wouldn't take my car to any of those big shops, f**k dodgy s**t they do.
I'm also curious on a good alarm for a ba that wont have problems. In my last car i had my alarm replaced twice and had an endless amount of problems so i've been putting it off for a while now in the ba. |

I'm looking at putting one on my BF XR6. Does anyone know of a good brand or has anyone had any good experiences with a company in Adelaide?
Thanks
