Just wondering what i am looking at for rebuilding a set of clevo heads to run a gas engine. i already have gas heads and they have done probably 90,000 ks but id like to freshen em up for my new engine. i have new valve springs and i was wondering what else id need to purchase/ do?

Best way is to take them into a reliable engine shop where they can mic up the valves for wear and any other problems, it may be a simple valve grind and new seals or they could need a total rebuild.

Yup unless your looking to trick them out, its not going to cost you much, assuming its straight.

When I had my LTD motor done up for gas - we fitted phosphor bronze valve guides, stellite valve seats and black valves. It is always advisable to get rid of the stamped collet locks and get machined ones (less chance of them pulling through) and some decent valvesprings to match the cam.

yeah i have megatork heavy duty valve springs to go in, just wondering about the rest of the bits n pieces, mrLandau, what did yours cost roughly, and what would i be roughly looking at price wise

Mine cost me $700 but that was some time ago
