Firstly you need to say what application its going to be used for and what car.

My preference is Autornic SM4, so much options and a great all round ecu.

in regards to the "best" - alot of people use motec or autronic.

in terms of price - the EMS 8860 ecu IMO, is a good ecu for the price.
also the WOLF V500.

with the SOHC falcon 6, alot of people prefer the EMS 8860/4244.

You have to check if a ecu can use ur exsisting sensors, ignition.

Good thing about the Autronic SM4 it does where other ecu like EMS8860 you have to change things around and ends up costing as much as a Autronic.

ems8860 is around $1700
autronic is around $2500

theres no point getting Motec, unless you need it, ie: to run a ba/f motor
prices for motec starting at around $3500 for the M600
