HELP!!
I cant restart my 1995 Faimont when the engine has been running for a while.
I notice that the electric fans are going & the engine wont start. If I wait until the engine is cold the fans will stop & the engine will start.
I have also noticed that the engine never reaches full operating temp. & that the fans are always running once the engine starts.
I have replaced the thermostat but that made no diff so I suppose that the engine runs cold because the fans are on all the time .
I have felt the bottom radiator hose & it is only warm.
Could it be a faulty temp sender ? Either the one in the head or maybe there is another in the bottom tank of the radiator? .
Desparate Colin.

I forgot to mention that the engine cranks over ok when i try to start.
When the engine is operating properly I have noticed that the voltage meter & the temp gauge needles move when first turning the ignition on. When the engine has been running the V meter needle moves to indicate battry status but the temp needle stays below C & the temp red light is on.
In ths condition the fans are running - the engine cranks but will not start.
Hope this is clearer.
