I don't think theres a turbo in the world big enough for 10,000% VE

O RLY?

that is tiny .................. :P i want to see what that came off... large airplane perhaps.......no? a mining truck???

Mining truck turbos are tiddlers compared to that. We have 2000hp and 2500hp quad-turbo V12's and V16's in 240 ton (payload) trucks... 385 tonnes fully loaded... the turbos aren't that much bigger than you'd stick in a Falcon... 500hp or 625hp per turbo. They have maybe 5" intake and 4" compressor outlet. The newer engines have them just feeding 1/4 of the cylinders each. Even on the old Cummins 2000hp V16's that had 2 sequential turbo's per bank, the first stage was slightly smaller and the second stage only slightly bigger.

My guess would be locomotive or marine engine for that one.

Ive seen something very similar, that at first I thought were HUGE turbos,
but in fact were industrial water pumps, and Im thinking,
that might be some sort of industrial air pump, which are powered
by an electric motor... who knows...?..

I'd guess you're right on that guess.

Still it's a great pic for winning, look at my huge turbo threads.

Looks like he is in a pumping station, looks to be a pump.

My old man has in storage a old blower thats about 2 feet in diametre, runs a pulley and is used to pump air into a blacksmiths forge. Uses low revs for its results (around 50 rpm). Could be a future project LOL.

I always wondered what u'd get if you put 3 10" Thermo fans on 3 sides of an airbox and blocked every other air entry point..

It would have to at least help throttle response at low revs just by removing the low pressure areas in the intake system..

would be useless at high revs, but I imagine it would give you a little kick at really low revs...
