I don't mind the new FG at all though I still prefer the MkII BF. I'm very disappointed that the great Aussie inline 6 will be replaced by a V6 (not even made in Australia at that) to the point it would put me off buying one when the change is made. I would love to own the last inline of the production line though.

Now what is the go with the new model names? G6, G6E, G6VD, G6 with ham cheese and tomato or what ever. Sounds like the annual meeting of the worlds 6 most powerful economies (though that is now G8). I think Ford has lost the plot. What was wrong with the Futura and Fairmont names that have a very long history (and following) in Australia? If anything they should have added to the traditional names and called the G6 turbo thing the Falcon Sprint. It was daggy enough calling the base model the XT for the past few years but this now sounds good in comparison. Bring back the Falcon 500, Falcon Futura and Fairmont I say.

^^^ I Agree ^^^
Thats one of the best thing about ford, all the names (especially Falcon) have a long tradition. Unlike holden that changes their name when ever their sales drop.

I have to see I really like the shape of this car, the only part the back door and shape is commodore but the back and front is horn, G6ET is hot.

hopefully get some G6Es at work soon for a test drive :D
