HEY ALL,
IM THINKING ABOUT RE TRIMMIN MY ED SEATS/DOOR/CENTERCONSOLE/VISORS IN LEATHER BUT THE COLOUR OF THE LEATHER I WANT WOULD NOT MATCH THE REST OF MY INTERIOR. HOW HARD IS IT TO PULL EVERYTHING APART, PAINT IT AND PUT IT BACK IN(NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT DASH).I GOT A FEELING IF I START TO DO THIS I WONT BE ABLE TO GET SUM THINGS BACK ON WITH A NICE FIT. WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK? WOULD IT BE WORTH PAYING SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT? OR SHOULD I JUST FIND A DIFFERENT COLOUR FOR MY LEATHER |

lol, its from the dave chapelle show.
But on topic, I find doing little projects on your car by yourself is most rewarding. I've seen various users post up colour schemes they have done themselves and they look really good, so as long as you have the spare time, i'd say give it a crack.

its not hard at all, just common sense needed.
with the new material your putting on the roof lining, use a good glue, preferably a clear glue, i just used 3 cans of that spray stuff from bunnings and is perfect. also dont push the material onto the glue till its tacky and dont push hard as the glue might soak into the material. the rest of the car is easy to paint things, just be careful when your pulling off plastics as you will definately break a few clips here and there. |
