Saw this from ebay..apparently its an ef

has it been converted to carby?

Looks like a early EA model with a el engine.

Agreed. Looks like they just removed the single point throttle body and bolted up the gas body , then botched up an old air cleaner to accept gas induction. I dont know how well this would work as the air cleaner element does not allow for suffiecient vacuum to the gas regulator it would simply favour the outside air more under high vac situations and run the gas lean, The air cleaner should be removed and fitted with a balanced plenumn style chamber that allows to pull from each the gas and air equal parts to allow for tuning to vary between different rpm cycles and load applied. This setup would run lean at top and flood it with gas at idle.

I have seen this setup a number of times on EFs....seen it on a taxi and a couple of normal cars...

the picture shows the car has thermofans so is likely to be an EF or EL and the original poster says its an EF

U mean this is not a mod it looks like no other gas setup i have ever seen before is the reg setup housed inside the air cleaner housing or something
