Hey guys, I have a EB2 Fairmont and just yesterday i noticed the vents are stuck on the windscreen. I dont believe it is the control centre as each time i try and change it to Footwell vents or face vents you can clear a click from the passenger footwell under the glovebox but nothing happens.

I read somewhere it might be a vacumn leak but i wouldn't know where to start looking? Where is the hose that usually leaks located? Cheers.

there is the common problem of the main vacuum line going to the back of your manifold has come off. i think its either green or a black little pipe. but yeah its hard to see but look at the very back of the intake manifold for pipes that have come off. It could be a simple fix.

Sometimes it's easier to see and get at those vac lines if you drive the car up on ramps and look up from underneath.
edfairmont4.0 had it right both ways, it's a green and black thin little sucker, you'll know what we mean when you see it. Check its neighbours at the rear of the manifold out as well, the rubber boots perish and vac leaks follow.
Cheers,
Paul
