Hi,

Ive read through the document on installing the NL Cluster into the EL and am currently collecting all the parts, sensors, ect needed. but ive had a couple of thoughts:

has the wiring for bulb out been sorted? Is it easy to do? Can someone point me to a post or let me know how to go about it.

Also, having a manual transmission will this have any effect on the way the "ECONOMY" and "POWER" lights on the cluster function? Will it always read economy or will it change?

Does the mid series BEM support all the features that come with this high series cluster (ive heard something about dimming and resistors). Will i have to change anything there or will it all wire up and work.

If there is anything i should know and might ahve missed could you please give me a heads up on that too.

Cheers,
Woody.

Remove the switch and the economy word will not be displayed. You will need to resistor mod the cluster for a mid series BEM but the position for the resistor is not in the fairlane clusters like it is in the mid series ones. You will have to trace the wires and solder it externally. If you can stretch it, it is a good time to upgrade the BEM as well.

If its a manual ECU then it will be trial and error. If it a tricked conversion then its what ever the resistor in the mod puts it at. An indication might be to put the current cluser in to diagnostics and see what it reads.

Can confirm, the cluster will display D with a manual ECU.
where are the bulbs located for the display in the mid section? or are they LED's, can't access them without pulling it apart.
