Hey Guys well it started yesterday drove up hill doing 50 km/h and usually by this time the gearbox in ECONOMY mode is already in 2nd. But 1st Revs out to 3000 RPM and then changes to 3rd Gear. 4th never comes. Does anyone know what this issue is ?? Is it anything to do with the Module on the side of the gearbox ?? Any help would be great thanks.

flush can also kill a box, sometimes the carbon in the old fluid is all thats stops it from slipping. Ive been told by a lot of ford mechs that for higher mile autos, its good to keep some old fluid in, even to the point of half old fluid, half new fluid.

a lot of btr 4 spds give up the ghost after a full flush if they are in a state of wear.

your gearbox in technical terms, is f**k.

I had this same issue 250,000km + Thrashing = f**k gearbox.
