Hi people i have been looking at some wheels for my EF they are on a EB would the stud size and offset be ok to fit the EF - and from what i have been told some Toyota 5 stud are the same - just hate to buy some and go to fit and the buggers wont go on.

E series are all the same. Toyota wheels, I believe do fit-some models.

I have 114.5 stuck in my head along with +5.

I think the second is the e series offset and the first is...something else related to wheels.

+35 is A-B series offset. Not sure about the FG though

Yeah the 114.5mm is the distance from the centre of 1 stud to the centre of the adjacent stud which on a 5 stud axle is a falcon fitment and will fit cars form any x series to any e series.
The +5 is the offset which is 5% or mm i cant remember from the centre of the rim on a flat plane to the mounting surface ie where it bolts to the rotor.
this means that the centre is +5% offset out from the mount surface.
The au onwards uses the same stud patern but has a negitive offset by i think about -15% im not sure, but this means that if mount to an older series rotor they wound sit inwards of the body causing interference to the wishbones/steering arms also vice versa they would sit outside the body of a Later model and would chop the sidewall onto the wheel arch.
So.........

114.5mm is falcon stud pattern.

pre au wheels will fit any pre au car

au wheels onwards will not fit pre au without offset spacers which are illegal most everywhere

pre au wheels will not fit au onwards as will protrude too far outwards

as for the toyota rims
they are same stud pattern as falcon but the hub is alot smaller and will not fit over a falcon hub.
a falcon wheel will fit onto a hilux and like only the full weight of the car will be resting on the studs and not on the hub so is also illegal (though this is what most hilux out there are running )
u can get hub adapters to fill in the slack but are also illegal

The PCD is actually 5x114.3, though many refer to it as 114.5.
The offset on 'E' series is officially '0' though +5-10 on after market wheels won't be noticeable.
The offset on AU+ is +38-40
The 5x114.3 [current] Toyota wheels are +38-40 offset, same as AU + wheels. Some of my Toyota's after market wheels, eg PCWs, are +45 and interchange with many of the later Jap. makes, though not all, as well as AU+.
The little rings or spacers to fill out the centres to fit the standard hub ring of the particular vehicle are [or should have been] supplied with all aftermarket wheels and I'm pretty sure are legal. They are available through Wheel sellers or tyre retailers if you need them to ensure a correct fit.
The direct answers to the original questions are:-
YES, the EB wheels will fit your EF, you may need different wheel nuts though.
Toyota designated wheels need adapters to fit pre AU Fords.
The genuine Toyota wheels may not fit depending on the size of hub hole in the middle. A test fit is required as some 'genuine' wheels are 'ROH' made and will fit Falcon hub centres.
Aftermarket wheels for Toyotas are usually Ford AU+ compatible and should fit the centres but spacers would be needed, definately on the front.
Cheers,
Paul

The offset will differ depending on the width of the wheels in question.

It's almost true,
They'll physically fit on the rear but are still the wrong offset and will look weird from the rear, with the tyre tucked too far in under the car.
The front will seem to bolt on but will jam onto the strut and be un-manouverable.
A stolen/recovered ED I bought at auction recently had been fitted with a set of AU steelies by them, BenJ and I had to replace them with E-series wheels so it would be driveable. They had been moving it around with a forklift thinking the steering was stuffed.
They looked very surprised when we drove it away. Well, I got it cheaper for that lack of knowledge, silver lining. LOL
Cheers,
Mac
