My air bag light started to come on the other day. When I start the car up, it flashes once, short pause, then twice, then a long pause, back to once the twice. It does this a few times then stays on til I turn the car off. Does this just mean there's a problem with the air bag or could it be something more sinister?

mine does the exact same with the same code.... as in the blinks, i no there is a thread somewhere on here about what to do, the last time i checked it , the thread wasnt working properly as there in some input required as in typing your code
not sure where it is now on here |

Read the sticky in the Interior forum.
Code 12 should go away with a reset - provided the pins in the diagnostic connector are there - later versions didn't have the facility to DIY.
