just wondering if the springs and shocks will have to be changed at all

u will need lower control arms,calipers,discs uprights and swaybar

they are definetly the same, I have an au1 fairmont ghia, and recently put the front conversion off a BF, but i kept my springs and used them with the bf shocks, very nice. The only mod you have to do is attach the swaybar mount, we drilled holes through the chassis rails and put high tensile bolts through.
