Dropped diff off in housing! Axels out! New crown wheel / pinion and full rebuild! Spent $1000

Crown wheel / pinion was 550 alone!
450 for the rebuild!

How cheap is that!!! I just got it done recently and got slugged $1650.. got a few quotes the same. All new bearings as well.

new gears are 500 alone, then new bearings 180, plus 400 odd labour

just over a grand cost me.... but that was for a single spinner

i rebuilt my diff all by my self and it cost
160 for 3.9 gears
150 for a whole lsd diff complete
130 for bearings and seals
100 for cones and shims
-----
540 in total
