Ive done a search for BA climate control and nothing comes up. My Brother in law just bought a BA series 1 Fairmont Ghia and the dual climate control works fine on the drivers side but only cold air on the passenger side regardless of the temp setting or vent selection. Is there a reset or diagnostic mode like the EF/EL? Im guessing that they have a dual blend door servo set up as in the E series climate controls and the passanger side is either stuck or not operating.

Thanks in advance.

Joolz.

hey Joolz, common problem on ba's. Pretty sure its the HIM module or it will be the shafts on the actuator.
The pain in the a** thing is that its a dash removal job, which isnt too hard on a ba.
Ford will be able to tell you straight away by plugging in the IDS

Interesting thing is that on the FG they have no placed this module in a spot where it is accessible without removing the dash

Thanks Nicko, I did some more research and found the same thing along with possible low gas. I will let him know that it could be an expensive fix. Next time he may let me look at the car before signing the sale!! All he was interested in was the factory sunroof!!!

Mate I would say too that im pretty certain it would be the HIM module or shaft, we had exactly the same probalem the other day one side fine the other not, shaft was snapped in two

dash out isnt too bad on BA - most ford workers would have the dash out in one hour max
