Hey guys, for some reason when i floor it in my el i6 futura, it does not like shifter into second gear at 4500+rpm..it will just keep reving to the limiter until u let go of the pedal slightly..

this annoys me because when letting go of the accelerator pedal to let it shift, then flooring it once its changed gears it wants to go back to first..

anyone know why this is happening

it had a full service last week (transmission that is) and replaced the s-5 and s1? solenoid.

doesn't really worry me as it is getting a new motor in 2 months with a t5 conversion but i want to race it before then to get some before and after times. obviously can't race if it refuses to shift at high rpm..

I'm still experiencing this sometimes, i put it down to a bad tune, just ease on the throttle and you'll maintain traction a whole lot better :D

thats foot flat, seems to take its time to gain the revs (does yours do the same?)

i lifted my foot off slightly to let it shift, then flattened it again after it shifted, and it shifted back to first

could it be shifting to third and thats why its bogging down?

Sounds like its got the wrong computer. wrong gear ratio, i had that in mine but it learnt after awhile....it would bash the limiter a few times 1st 2 second and same 2nd to 3rd.

well it seems i don't have a 2nd gear? wtf?

I put it in 2nd and it only stays in 1st..if i put it to 2nd from 3rd it does nothing..

thats why its been bogging down after first gear.. f**k what a hassle..

ohwell looks like i will have to be patient while before the t5 goes in

My AU v8 has the same prob but only does it from 2nd to 3rd. I dought it would be a computer fault, cause i tried my other AU ECU witch has addaptive shift in it, still does the same, soo expecting soloinoids or maybe even bands???, but hope not.

can any one else shed some more light on the subject??
