hello every one. i have a eb fairmont ghia. it does not have keyless entry i think becuase it is series one?
anyway when you put the key into the drivers door and either lock or unlock it, only the drivers door locks or unlocks. no other doors respond. but if i lock or unlock the passenger door all doors except the drivers one do the same. i have already ruled out the door actuators and there is no broken wires in the door have already checked that too. is it possible that the BCM module is playing up? if anyone has any ideas that would be great thanx heaps

It may not be the actuator itself, but is the actuator in the drivers door hooked up to the lock mechanism....?
I had one of my back doors pop off the little rod it clamps on to and it took me ages to figure out why because I couldnt see it. The actutor was working but not connected to the lock meant nothing was happening.

check that plastic stick which goes into the lock tab, when I pulled the door trim off I did not position the lock tab properley & all it would do is go up & down till I adjusted it.

You might also find that someone has just disconnected the drivers door motor because it was playing up...
Dont the motors have the switches in them? |
