Sorry if this has been asked before but here goes-i plan to get a crow cam for my ef 4.0 with au head.What is the biggest crow cam that i can run with the stock au springs and the stock ef ecu?I have decided on crow and actually rang them to ask this exact question and he couldnt tell me?I will be running the ef rocker gear when i fit the cam because i want a bigger choice of cams.Cheers

stage 1 or 2 i think its stage 3 you need ecu mods

So that would be the 222825 works between 1000-3800.Would the motor still rev to 5500? What rev range does the standard ef cam make power in?

not sure on the standard cam, but your motor will rev to 5500, maby check the crow site? that should show you where it will make power from and end ect..

i had a stage 2 crow cam with an ef head that was ported/polished and xr valve springs.. ran sweets as... with extractors.. 2.5 inch cat back.. manual coversion..heavy duty clutch and mandrell intake + xr snorkel did 134rwkw.. and 140 rwkw with no intake on and bonnet up...

Thanks for the replies, i think ill get that cam and see how it goes.Crow cams are new billets so i dont need shims,is this correct? :lol:

you can go stage 3, the stage 4 needs ecu mods

the website tells u what cam you can use i contacted them and they recomended 222XXX (can't remember & don't have the card could be 543) being the 'biggest' cam i could get with stadard ecu i found their customer support quite good and the products even better.

but i do know theres really no such thing as a stage 1 or 2 cam their all different grinds for different kinds.
