G'day there fellow fordies. Just a quick question : I've noticed my front end ( 1993 EBII Falcon GLi 4.0 ) upper suspension arms have 2 shims ( left hand side front bolt only and driver's side rear bolt only ) thus giving my suspension a sort of parallelogram ( you know a pushed over square ! ) set -up.
Was this a normal thing from Ford at the time ? The car has had a minor front left hand bingle and also sports monroe gas shocks so it's not dead stock. Any feedback appreciated. Thankyou.

this is the wheel allingment shims and nothing to do with what u are thinking in those terms
the shims change the angle of the front wheels that is all not the height of the car

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the cars came out of the factory with at least some shims. It would be hard to get the body close enough. One side of one of my cars didn't have any, but all the rest did. You car's accident damage may have caused a wheel aligner to adjust the shimming. What matters is whether you have good wheel alignment or not.
