I cant remember what the short equivelant of the Z9 is.
I think its the Z56B but i havnt used it since i gave up driving V8s, it just gives a bit extra oil pressure which im looking for in the mont but i cant remember if it is the 56B?.

Thats the Valvoline code for a Z9.
I know there is a filter thats the same as a Z9 but is just shorter im 90% sure its the Z56B as used on Sigmas and so forth but i just cant remember, think ill just have to go buy 1 and see if it fits. We used to use it go get a little extra oil pressure or were there wasnt enough room in the bay eg windsor into triumph stag etc.

V01 is the valvoline standard filter, not shorter.. I know because I'm looking at one now.

smaller oil filter has less surface area to filter the oil then a standard Z9 etc. I would just put some decent oil in the engine. I have been running Penrite HPR15 (15w/60), recommended on there website for ef/el 6cyl falcons. Oil pressure is always on 3/4 gauge even in summer during 40degree days.
