Having trouble.....

A mate of mine put an Au engine into an EL auto wagon.

Changed the sump, did all the swaps etc and got the engine in and running.

Only thing is -iut is down on low and mid range power. Acceleration is like a 1300cc automatic escort (or a 2 lite commodore!! - what was that all about....? anyway I digress).

Anyone heard of this as a problem? The throttle opens fully, the EFI has been on a diagnostic system and checked ok. The injectors are OK. Is this like some kind of default ECU programme that needs resetting or re-chipping? Is there a sensor stuffed somewhere and teh EGU runs on some default 'limp home' programme?

Any clues?
