OUCH! Not so hard on the whips Nick haha. I'm waiting for a weekend when everyone is free, then we'll knock it off in a couple of days. I need to make sure i have absolutely EVERYTHING i need, as this is my ONLY mode of transport at the moment and can't be without it for too long.

Should be pretty easy to get the EBC going matteh, it's just a couple of hoses and thats it....i hope lol.

yeh, unless yours is different that mine, it should go

the controller vacuum line goes to the map sensor/intake manifold line

the IN vacuum line on solenoid goes between the (turbo) comp housing/wastegate vacuum line - Tpiece it

the OUT vac line goes to the top of the wastegate port

Got the cooler mounted up today, was pretty pleased with the outcome. Had to do a bit of shuffling around and cutting, but it's all hidden pretty well.

The 20DET is going in in the next day or two, but i have to relocate the battery to the boot as a hole has to be cut into the battery tray for the cooler piping to pass through.

Got a stainles steel dump/screamer pipe the other day for $50, 2.5" exhaust just to get me by till i can get a 3' system, picking up 20DET auto ECU and front exhaust pipe tomorrow.

Went for a bit of a 'boonger' photo shoot with a mate who just bought an R31 Ti the same as mine. Bit of fun haha.

We found a rather sad pintara too, massive rust hole on roof above rear door, you can 'just' see it.

Yup, sure is. It's not the NICS version. I am yeat to find out what NICS actually stands for, but from what i can gather on the Skyline forums, NICS is poo haha.

I can't wait to go and own a few commodores haha.

Suits me, i only put it in the 'Off Topic' forum as it wasn't Ford/Falcon related.

Cool sounds good, another one of my mates has an R31 but with an RB20 or 25 silvertop turbo in it, eats commo's, few WRX's R32 and R33s also XR6 and XR8's as well, only been beaten by the GT-R skylines and something else can't remember what, so with a bit of work these things can be killers

Yeah thats right the Nics version is the old RB20, ECCS was the newer RB20. An RB25 would of been better but the RB20 ECCS will still get up and go if its a good motor. I had one of these ECCS engines a few years ago and boosted it to 12psi,+air filter,3 inch exhaust and made about 175RWKW. Sadly one day pushing it with 25PSI by accident i blew it up good with parts of the bottom end spewing out through the block onto the road. 12PSI is about the most i would recommend. Itll should still get you a good 13 second pass. :D

Yeah an RB25 would have been nice, good torque too, but they're still relatively expensive. I got lucky and picked up this engine and gearbox for $500, i'm doing this on a VERY tight budget, by picking up parts cheaply of for nothing at all.

The engine i have already has an RB25 'ceramic turbine' turbo and by what i have read can't be pushed too hard, possibly 10psi max.

My mate who i bought the engine off has an SAFC and an edited manual ECU i can have when i eventually get all the clutch gear together.

But anyway, i relocated the battery to the boot today, was pretty straight forward, i'm going to attempt to start installing the RB20 tomorrow. Wish me luck, i'm having a hard time talking myself into ripping out a perfectly good running RB30.

Well, i have given up. I just can't be bothered doing another engine transplant. So i'm getting rid of the RB20 and all my gizmos, bells and whistles to build up my money again so i can payt for my Fairmont when it's finished.
