OK, I am officially confused.. so I need both.. OK.. thats fine too, and I do plan to run gas later on as well.
I don't want to think about it till I have finished the mounting and the belt though.. will worry about it after that. I did buy this today though for the fuel. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... :IT&ih=005 |

yes thats correct. However it will vent on when the throttle is snapped shut, I know its not what its designed for, but the pressure release it has is adequate, otherwise there would be a helluva lot of capa and other centrifugal kits suffering compressor surge. But being a positive displacement with a fixed displacement of air per sweep (revolution) it'd be interesting how it would react, full boost would be at 1500-200 rpm and be constant from there on in? How much boost are you planning on running?

Well, I plan on putting the 10.5 PSI pulley on it once I have it all sorted..
Like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... :IT&ih=003 I don't however know how the crank pulley size differs from a VN, so I don't really know what PSI it will give me on the EL motor yet. I'm aiming for 10-12 PSI. (To start with, I will be using a traditional air to air intercooler.. but as time and money allows, I have plans for a water to air which will again reduce pressure loss. rgds Frank |

Seems like she'll be really moving, 10.5 psi is a fairbit.
Like Xfpaul running both a Bov and bypass valve will be the go, 10.5 psi (more or less) is a fair bit to vent.

Is it? I thought I was being reasonable..
Both it is then.. but I will get a BOV that can be hidden and is as quite as possible. The M90 can do it.. particularly with water to air intercooling.. which loses heaps less pressure than air to air from what I've read... I have an idea on how I want to make my own heat exchanger to.. but I'm going air to air to start with because my idea will take time to develop. |

drive ratio will be a problem , to get 10.5 psi , i running around 8 psi thats with the 7 inch AU2 harmonic balancer and a 2.7 inch drive pulley can go to a 2.5 the smallest posible but you have to machine the snout
lookup pulley boys , company out of usa where i got mine cheaper and have all the sizes http://www.pulleyboys.com/fordscxr7.html

Thanks Paul.. perhaps I will get the nose machined.. but I think I'll do everything else first so I can find out what the problems are. (like belt slip etc..)
Did you ever get your best dynoed? I'm curious how it goes on gas and what your gas setup is, as that is my plan also. |

Well, in addition to the rising rate fuel regulator.. It looks like I've scored a 660x300x100 intercooler to go with it..
going to be hard to stealth that, but I'm gonna try to make it as stealth as possible.. (an idiot cop probably won't notice, but a knowledgeable one would pick it straight away.. Later on, I will swap to water to air to get less loss, but for now, this will have to do. It's nearly Saturday again, I'm hoping by the end of this one, I'll have the charger bolted in place and be getting measured up for a new belt. |
