ok don't crusify me fella's

but i'm trying to fix my mates VS commy...

quick jerk of the throttle, it almost die's in the a**, underload, with any sort of acceleration, it misses/surges..

what i've done to try and rectify problem:

- removed leads, tested resistance, was abit high on a couple, so got some cheap from the wreckers which are fine ( no difference )

- checked spark plugs, re-gaped plugs, gave them a clean - they seem ok.

- then i thought after those simple few things, i better check the fault codes..
46 - no reference signal while cranking
47 - crank angle reference signal

so armed with that information, i assumed it was the CAS (crank angle sensor) got one from wreckers, replaced it, and then as i was just about to start it i was thinking the CAS wouldn't cause a miss...and indeed it didnt..

so checked fault codes again, same problem, then i realised the CAS signal runs through the DFI module, so i took it off, cleaned coil packs and module as they were quite dirty..
put it all back together.. ( no f**k difference ), so i went and got a DFI module from wreckers, replaced it ( no f**k difference )

...and now the fault codes have vanished..

so i'm out of ideas, if anyone could help me? the 9 pound sledgy is eyeing it off, and i think its going to feel PAIN..

any help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks
