1.4kW reduction gear Bosch starter for 6cyl
?kW reduction gear Bosch starter for V8

i ment the same as in they all bolt in the same

the 1.1kw is a direct drive.
the 1.4kw is a reduction drive.

even the v8 one will fit in a 6 cyl except the v8 one has a 3rd bolt hole insted of 2..

the BA / BF possible FG is the same as AU so it will fit everything down to EA possible XF 4.1...

The BA is a smaller unit and has a better "throw"

ok here we go

all starters from xf to ba are interchangeable
i have a high torque au starter motor in my ea s pack

they all bolt up the same
except the x series which is located on the opposite side of the gear box to the rest as im pretty sure the starters are on the drivers side on the x series

but new ones definately have more power and "kick "
mine now starts first go doesnt wind over at all starts on first click:P

only difference i can definately say is the "weight"

jeez the weight of my original ea starter 2 my new au one
wow factor
like lifting a motor and then swithching to lifta paer one lol

biiiig difference

weird i reckon cus older mod starters cost more yet new ones arfe cheaper and have more kick to them and basically there better overall so that ones got me baffled

but yes it will fit
:P

so yes u coulda gotten that ba one u would have definately noticed the difference as i did and for some reason my car seemed to go alot better with the new au starter in
i likeit hehe

sorry guys jus my opinion an 2 cents worth

anyways have fun

Drifty
