I got an EL diff from a mont ghia so I even got the EL trailing arms... LSD rocks...

the tail slides with both wheels
Take offs are a bit quicker, but that's not heaps noticeable. The rear end just feels generally tighter...

Lowering the centre watts link mount on the diff hat makes no difference to the centre of gravity of the body, and actually increases body roll. But that's not necessarily bad.
To illustrate this effect, imagine two extremes in either direction. Firstly, imagine the centre pivot raised to say 2m heigh. That would see the car swinging around underneath the pivot, meaning it would corner like a boat, the body would lean into the corner, rather than away from it. Secondly, imagine the centre pivot just above ground level. That would see the car rolling about that low axis, with the centre of gravity having a fair degree of leverage around it.
