okay, mechanics i've taken the car to don't seem to know (or care) what's wrong with my car so here's the story in the hope that someone here will know or have had the same problem.
basically when i'm slowing down to turn into a corner, obviously i have my foot on the brake, i start turning the wheel and i get these huge creaks and clunks as i turn. only when braking and only when turning though. it kinda makes the noise if i just sit there in neutral and turn the wheel with the brakes on but not as loud and only full lock, but like i said if i'm slowing down to take a corner the sound is really loud. any thoughts?

does it do it going straight and applying the brakes?
i reckon its just the sliding calipers being "popped" back from the discs.

i think early fords like to au 's used sliding calipers the caliper has 2 rails and the caliper slides along etc... maybe they are not sitting straight along the rails if u now wat i mean!!! like ......... _____ _____ __/__ instead of ___l__ i think its just the rails might need a bit of lubrication. take it to ur mech and ask about it.

I had the same problem with my EB and it was driving me nuts. It turned out to be the crap brake pads I was using whick were ferrero. It totally went away when I used bendex premium. You would n't think that brake pads would do such a thing but it is what turned out to be the problem. I ha my car to susspension specialists and the didn't even know. I hope this helps.
