ok, i measured the impedance of the ISC, and refering to specs, it was dead. So i went to the wreckers with my multimeter and found a new one.

Came home and fitted it, and it does run better.

However, still when following the way of setting the base idle, it still stalls when all back together and done, BUT, it is perfect when performed without the .75 feeler guage required?!?!

WTF is going on?
