Hey dudes.

I eventually plan to chuck an EL xr6 engine in my ED falcon however something just crossed my mind.

The ED is 161kw the EL 164kw. (According to Redbook).

Now the thing is the EL engine has the BBM and the EB II doesn't, so if I fitted a BBM to an EB/ED xr6 engine would it then put out more power than the EL?

You're probably asking "wtf just get an AU engine and modify that since XR6's have minor modifications in the first place".

I'd do that except I'm a P plater and engine mods are not allowed in my case. So the only way I can beat that is by putting in a factory engine.

The AU is a factory engine :)

I probably wouldn't bother too much though. 5kw or so is two tenths of a bees d**k.

Yeah I guess. AU is factory however it's around 7kw or so less than the EL xr6.

I know this has probably been asked a lot, but what makes an AU engine so much better than an EL one?

Don't even worry about the power figures. Use the motor that's in better condition. :D
