Depends on what type of Premo you're upgrading to.

If the new ICC unit has standard type air-conditioning controls, then it's a straight swap. You just need to change the BEM unit across into the new ICC when you do the swap and you're good to go. I've done this swap myself and it's pretty straightforward, take a look at my previous posts if you're curious about this.

On the other hand, if the new ICC you're upgrading to has dual-zone climate control, then it isn't a straight swap by no stretch of the imagination. Among other things, you need a new BEM, wiring ducts and temperature sensors installed, as well as a new dash loom. It's a very costly and fiddly upgrade, but it isn't impossible. If you're interested in this, a few members have managed to pull it off, I believe Lukeyson has done it. Use the search tool or PM him and you can find out more about it.

My Lord that's unbelievable.

Surely it'd be easier to just sell the car and purchase one with premo climate already installed, if you really want it that badly?

Its not as bad as it looks. Work of a day between two people going fairly easily. Could probably have done it a couple of hours faster.

i addressed this back when the bf 2 was just about to be released.

my dealer told me dual zone climate control was not available in the xr series as the units were different size.

me knowing wat i was talking about told him that was a load of bs and to get it done..

so i got it factory with dual zone climate. premium sound. gps. leather. zf 6 speed auto. and ive noticed the premium icc has also got better features. such as the high series cluster and the dimming type lights. also the footwell lamps came factory.

if u want the extra stuff and u dont want to do the work u just need to pay that bit extra from factory.

i love my bf with all its features. infact while every idiot is paying a tonne for the FGs i might go out and snap up another bf cheap as chips :D
