well i saw the doco on cleaning the isc on later e series and i figure its the same for ea..so where is the isc on the ea?is it right near the airbox?
any tricks to removing?

it's directly on top of the throttle body. Take the airbox lid off and follow where your plastic intake piping goes and you will see it.
