I'm looking to upgrade the standard shocks in my late 95 EF Futura which has been lowered on King super lows. I'm pretty sure they're superlows, they weren't the lowest ones, I know that much.
Forgive my ignorance, I'm not particularly car savvy (yet) and so I'm looking for some advice on which way to go with the shocks. As I said above, the car isn't on its nuts and I think it is at a nice height so I wish to maintain that, front and rear. My problem is with carrying any load. If I put any more than about 70kg in the boot the car rides like absolute garbage. I'm wondering if a new set of shocks that are designed with running with lower springs in mind would make a difference to this? I understand that carrying a load will alter the way the car handles and I don't often carry much in the way of passengers or substantial loads, so I'm just looking for an overall improvement that will make the car more willing to accept the occasional boot-load of equipment and improve the general handling of the car. Any advice on brands and types as well as the best places in Melbourne (SE are if possible) to have them fitted would be much appreciated. My apologies if this is a beaten topic, I have read through some of the threads on this subject here, I'm just seeking some specific advice. Thanks lads. |
