Im looking at getting some new front and rear rotors.
Do slotted make much difference to standard? Or is it worth looking at slotted and drilled? Is it illegal to change the rotor types?

I found a couple pairs on ebay, how would they go and same with the brake pads on offer with them?

slotted rotors "swipe" the brake pad face to help remove gasses and brake pad material, also helps with initial "bite" and make a damn good improvement over stock

no real need to go to cross drilled

those slotted and cross drilled are a damn cheap price and i would stay away from them!

get teh RDA or DBA's

The second one on Ebay are RDAs I believe. I have RDAs in the rear and to be honest, when I changed them from standard to slotted RDAs, they weren't that much of an improvement...they just looked better.

Though when I changed the front ones to slotted you can definitely tell the difference, mainly because most of the braking happens at the front.

So overall I would say, yes slotted rotors are worth it (no need for cross drilled as Frank said) and I would personally get DBAs over RDAs and get good pads with it...

It is legal to change the brake rotors, if it wasn't then they wouldn't really sell them as ADR approved brakes.

phong =P~

Cheers,

I put on the dba 4000 series slotted with bendix srt pads. Much better than the standard ones that were on. Stop now after going down long steep hills and not much dust either.
