http://www.streetperformance.com.au/store/
Has anyone used their products? I had a search around and cant really seem to find too much information about them. Ive got plenty of free time on my hands and am considering going down the turbo path. Im doing all the research I can before i just go out and buy a whole heap of s**t. I have a basic knowledge of how a turbo setup all works and the kind of work that is involved. The street performance kit has caught my eye with the price first and formost. Im very cautious though. It almost seems too cheap to be true. My findings about Log style manifolds are that they will work well enough for street style performance and a tuned length manifold is not ESSENTIAL but is better over the log style. Does anyone have experence with no name turbos and wategates? How long do they usually last? My thoughts are to spend the extra cash needed for some new brand name equipment. Some have talked about no name wastegates failing and causing the boost level to increase well over the desired amount. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Spend the extra $100 and get a snort manifold.
Buy a quality turbo and a cheap snort wastegate and you should be ok imo. A mate had a street performance tuned length style manifold and it was a disaster to make it fit. He has to modify the water pump pipe because it was in the way and grind down nuts and runners on the manifold to get all the nuts/studs in. |
