Sorry Kurfurst but this is yet another uninformed comment about Hub adaptors (not spacers), yes they are illegal in some states but many people on this site including myself have adaptors fitted and have had no problems. The only time problems have occured is when people who havent got a clue, try to fit them and dont notice the original studs are to long and stop the rim seating properly onto the hub adaptor or they use incorrect nuts to fit the adaptor.

yeah ive wondered what to do about that. The studs on my Mont look longer than what an adaptor would hide. |

Can you tell us a state where they are not illegal, for one it is an Australian standard and the states which don't state they are illegal also do not state they are legal in any document, get them to put it into writting and post it up here. There is no Australian standards for hub adaptors, so you have no idea if they are crap or designed to similar wheel standards.

Theyre illegal AU wide, unless your car came stock with them (eg. some porsche).

Seems like I am the uninformed one, sorry Kurfurst. I was under the impession from reading the W.A regs and from other discussions on this site that they are legal in some states. As Macca said they dont state they are lagal, but they also dont state they are illegal. Hard to understand what the reg's are trying to say half the time. My apologies.
