G'day,
Has anyone used hooker aerochamber mufflers on there 5.0 litre v8s? I am thinking of using them in a twin 2 1/4 inch system on an EB. First of all, are they any good? How much do they roughly cost and where can you get them from? Ive went to a couple exhaust shops and they had no idea. |

Haha, funny you say that.
Im running a full twin 2 1/4" mandrel bent s/steel system on my ute with two Hooker Aerochamber mufflers and no resonators etc. IMO, and many others, it sounds awesome. Very distinct note, yet very quiet while cruising, but once you put the boot into it it really opens up. If you want to make abit more noise i'd suggest 2 1/2" pipes with Hooker Mufflers. i will be going the sameish way with hooker mufflers and magna flow resonators, great advice from "bottledup" and will be going to see him once i get the coin....

i've a single 2 1/2" one with no resonator on a stock exhaust, has a great note through the whole rev range. cost me just over $100 for muffler at super plus in melb.
will be upgrading to a single 3" system with hi flo cat's & hooker muffler at the same time as my top end "make over/ rebuild" before the year is out. |

my old oldman runs them on his mustang, twin 2.25in...sounds horn

what would they sound like on a 6cyl in comparison to a Lukey or Redback muffler? i need a new muffler and was looking at trying something different, either one of these or a Flowmaster muffler.

American autos (rare spares) have them for about $115 bucks each..in various sizes.
